Faculty & Administrator Evaluation Resources

Purpose and Goals:

The purpose of this web site is to serve as a resource to the higher education community on the issues evaluating and enhancing the professional performance of faculty and academic administrators.  Based on over 43 years of experience in faculty evaluation systems design, my goals for this site are to:

  • Encourage recognition of the profession of college teacher as a 'metaprofession' - that is, a profession requiring a broad range of skills and expertise beyond that of solely content expertise;
  • Provide links to information and resources on faculty evaluation and faculty development issues;
  • Assist academic leaders in developing and implementing valid, reliable faculty evaluation systems;
  • Provide information on Academic Administrator evaluation.

Please use the links in the Menu Bar above to view current resources including articles and papers on Student Ratings as well as information on Consulting Services.

This site will be continually expanded to include a variety of resources including articles, papers, slide presentations, and consulting services on various issues associated with building and operating Faculty Evaluation and Professional Skills Enhancement (Faculty Development) systems.  See also my book “Developing a Comprehensive Faculty Evaluation System” available from either Jossey-Bass as well as Amazon.

If you have any QUESTIONS or SUGGESTIONS for links to other FACULTY EVALUATION RESOURCES please use the "Contact" form on the left.
